You must not confuse the necessary with the important.
However, if it really and truly is necessary that something has to be done, (after all, life doesn’t revolve around us and our preferences), then do it and do it well.
Everyday you are faced with things that must be done. If it must be done, then do it. Don’t beat yourself up because you’re not spending enough time on the important stuff.
Sometimes, living in this fast-paced and complex world, our lives will get out of balance with a lot of urgent and essential chores and tasks that must be done.
For sure, time must eventually be made to invest in the truly important if you hope to truly live a life that has been well lived. But some days, the best you can do is take care of the things that must be done that day.
The ONE THING for today: Do all things well, for sometimes those pressing little tasks end up being important.

Good encouragement. Thanks.
This is reality…and it’s a struggle sometimes. Feeling out of balance because unscheduled fires have to be dealt with can easily create guilt.
