Honestly, I have questions about God.
Issues of suffering and the seemingly indiscriminate violence that occurs in our world are troublingly. Sometimes the apparent randomness and meaninglessness of life is hard to fit into my worldview of a Creator God who watches over His creatures with love and care.
But there are things I do know about God…
Enough to get me through this day,
Enough to give me hope for tomorrow…
…and that’s enough.
If what I know about God is ever not enough, I’ll let you know.
And in the meantime, I invite you to join with me in getting to know God. It sure makes dealing with the things you don’t know a little easier.
The ONE THING for today: The great mission of life is not to prove or disprove God; it is to know God…and He is knowable…knowable enough…
A good place to begin your search for knowing God or growing closer to God is the Gospel of John (the fourth book in the New Testament of the Bible). Read it at least seven times over the next few weeks, asking God, each time you read it, to reveal himself to you. It will be an amazing experience.
The ONE THING 
David, I have been studying as I read the gospel of John again and followed onto Galations and found where Paul went and visited with Peter and stayed for fifteen days and mentioned that he didn’t see any of the other apostles except James, the Lord’s brother. I learn something new every time I read the Bible. I didn’t know that the Lord’s brother, James, was an apostle! Galations 1: verses 18 and 19.
