The ONE THING for today

Just one time

It is reported that Thomas Edison endured 10,000 failed experiments while trying to invent the light bulb. When asked how it felt to have failed 10,000 time he replied, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”

I’ve always liked that story and it is a reminded of an important principle: You only have to be right one time.

One win, one tiny success, one good idea, one good relationship, can change everything.

Sometimes it’s enough to just get up and go one more day.

  • The ONE THING for today: Whatever you do, don’t quit, don’t give up, don’t stop believing. All you need to do is get it right one time and everything will change.

  1. Brother Kemp –

Congrats on new role. I know in my heart that GOD has great things planned for you. Change is hard, but the blessing for following the doors that GOD opens for you has many, many blessings for you and those that you will touch. I love your blogs.

The past two years have been tough for me, but as you said in your message, one more time. I have overcome a tumor in my throat, a stroke, and lung cancer (surgery to remove lower right lobe), and today I give GOD praise that no ill effects from any of the above and cancer free.

I do want to wish you and your family much success in learning to build bigger snowmen and better snow cream.

You are a special person, and I have been blessed by knowing you, and hearing your words of wisdom.

Elaine and I are making plans to move to NC, and hope to find a great church to continue in our work with domestic violence, drug rehab and prison work. An ugly world.

    God bless you.
