Growing through “this”

You’ve gotta to grow through this—whatever “this” is right now. 

Longing for the days when things were good and you were comfortable will not change a thing about right now.   

God is never (and I mean never) about you settling down and riding out the rest of your life in a comfortable routine of the predictable and the manageable.   

God is always (and I mean always) about helping you grow.  Growing in character, spiritual strength and resolve to come to the fullness of what He has planned for you to be.   

God does not hesitate to sometimes throw you smack dap into a fiery furnace, a raging storm, and a den of lions.   

He is apt to up and break you, mold you, shape you, chasten you, drive you into the wilderness, and even strand you on a desert isle—I mean it is amazing what God does to us. 

And why?   

Because He loves us, has big plans for us, and is determine to bring it to pass. 

The Christian life?  It ain’t easy friend, but it the only game in town if you hope to make something out of yourself that’s worth living with for eternity. 

• The ONE THING for today: God believes in you a lot more than you believe in yourself and He’s determine to bring the best out of you.  You might as well shut down your pity party, buckle up and grow through this.

Ephesians 4:13 (NKJV)

¹³ till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
