…that you do not become sluggish… (Hebrews 6:12, NKJV)
Remember the days of the “full-service” gas station? No?
No bother, they no longer exist and I guessing there is little danger of them coming back. The “self-service” station is pretty much engrained into our present reality.
The same is true for refueling our body, soul, and spirit. You are responsible for battling sluggishness. Nobody is going to come along and fill your “emotional and spiritual” gas tank for you.
Skip your devotions/skip assembling with your fellow believers and like missing a meal, you are going to be sluggish and weak. Skip several and you are going to compromise your ability to produce at all.
And one more thing, the quality of the fuel will determine the energy and power you have. Cheap gas = poor performance. Junk food, whether it is physical, emotional or spiritual = an unhealthy and sluggish life.
- The ONE THING for today: Feeling sluggish today? Better check your eating habits.
John 6:57 (NKJV)
57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.
