John 11:4 (The Voice)
Jesus: His sickness will not end in his death but will bring great glory to God.
There are those who will tell you that Christians should never be sick, but they are wrong.
The bible does command us to not be anxious and to not worry, but nowhere are we commanded to not be sick. Sickness and the suffering and sorrow which go with it are a part of life—even for the most special friends and servants of God. Don’t allow people to make it worse by adding guilt to your sickness.
But know this, whatever you are going through today—whether it is sickness, sorrow, or suffering, God sees it as an opportunity to demonstrate his glory and that is always in your best interest.
- The ONE THING for today: Bear patiently the sufferings you are currently going through and trust God to find a way to make good come out of it.
Romans 5:1-2 (NKJV)
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
