“If you dream it, I cannot promise you that your dreams will be reached, but if you fail to even dream it, I can promise you it will never be reached.” _H. Dale Burke, Less is More Leadership
So much of “dream talk” is “me talk”. It is worldly, self-centered, and ego-centric.
However, desiring to be more than you are and achieving more than you have can be a God-honoring exercise.
The problem with most dreams is that they are too small. They fail to reach the throne room of Heaven. Their focus is in the here and now instead of the next the next five – ten generations.
Dare to think big.
Dare to think long-term.
Dare to ask God to allow you to be a part of something significant that will still be making a difference many generations from now.
What is cool and urgent today will probably be old and stale five years from now. But what will really, really matter to your great, great, great grandchildren—now that’s something to dream about.
- The ONE THING for today: By all means dream, but be sure to dream big enough.
Genesis 15:5 (NKJV)
Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”
