The ONE THING for today

Your “trail-blazer”

John 10:3 (NKJV)

To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

 “…and leads them out.”

These four little words should bring you much comfort.

Shepherds today do not lead their sheep, they drive their sheep. They and their sheep dog are prodding and pushing their sheep to go in a certain direction.  But not Jesus.

Jesus doesn’t prod or push us—he leads.

If there is suffering involved—he suffers first.

If there is death involved—he dies first.

Matter of fact, he has gone before us and is preparing a place for us.

Be assured that no matter what you’re going through today, Jesus has already blazed a trail for you. You may be going through unchartered territory today, but Jesus has the map—he walked it off before you even knew you were going to have to walk the path before you.

You are not adrift; you have a leader, a shepherd, someone who cares for you.

You have Jesus. The-One-Thing-200x300

  • The ONE THING for today: You may not know the way but you know Jesus and that is enough.

Isaiah 42:16 (NKJV)

I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, And crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, And not forsake them.
