Yesterday, I did some painting then went out to buy an onion and came home and watched ‘University Challenge.’ The onion was probably the highlight. _Karl Pilkington
You may not know this but onions are so important in India that the government has twice fallen (1980 and 1998) because the price of onions surged so much in price that the people voted their leaders out.
This may seem odd to you but never, never, never underestimate the price of “onions”.
We all have “onions” in our lives and to fail to pay attention to them is to set ourselves up for failure.
Another way I refer to these “onion” issues is that I call them the “paying the rent” duties.
You can have all kinds of great and glorious dreams and plans or you may have a bucket full of excuses and reasons why things didn’t work out, but nevertheless, if you don’t pay your rent you eventually get booted out.
That’s life and pretending it’s not doesn’t help a bit.
- The ONE THING for today: It is the wise man or woman that knows the “onion” issues in their life and is very intentional about making sure they are taken care of faithfully and with excellence.
Proverbs 27:23-24 (NKJV)
23 Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, and attend to your herds; 24 For riches are not forever, nor does a crown endure to all generations.
