Psalm 112:4 (NKJV) Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
Bear up bravely today.
In the midst of the stress and conflict do not despair.
You can do this because of the light…
Yes, “The Light”, the light that arises always when darkness comes.
I chose the background for this blog chiefly because of this concept. Not to be negative or depressing, but truth be known, most of life is stormy. There are very few days spent in the calms waters of the harbor. After all, this life is a journey…a journey to a distant shore where night never intrudes and sickness and sorrow and death or forgotten and where there are no more good-byes. But we are not there yet.
Till we get there, we will spend most of our days navigating the turbulent and often stormy ocean of life that exist between our birth and those distant shores.
But don’t forget the light. Without fail, to those who have committed their lives to Jesus Christ, they can be assured that in the darkness there will always arise the light—the light of Jesus’ love, presence, guidance, and provision.
- The ONE THING for today: No matter what you are facing this day keep repeating, “I can do this, because the light will show me the way.
John 8:12 (NKJV)
12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
Isaiah 9:2 (NKJV)
2 The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined.
