1 Timothy 1:19 (NKJV) having faith…which some having rejected,
Remember, faith is not passive.
When we call someone a man or woman of faith we mean they keep believing even when others give up; we mean they keep believing when the circumstances do not appear to support their faith.
But also remember this: faith is not “blind” or baseless.
When you “have faith” it means you have faith in something or someone. And for the Christian, ultimately their faith is not in an organization, a set of practices, or a particular doctrinal statement; ultimately their faith is in a person—the person Jesus Christ.
So let me ask you, in light of your current situation, what has changed about Jesus Christ? Did I hear you answer, “Nothing”? Then keep your faith…in Him.
- The ONE THING for today: You can have hope and peace about your day (and all your tomorrows) because you have faith in Jesus Christ.
1 John 5:4 (NLT)
4 For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.
