The one thing you must not do today is try to be “cool”. No matter our age or occupation we’re suckers for wanting to be “cool”.
Every group has a hierarchy and “pecking order”.
Every group has an unwritten description of “cool” and their own personal “Fonzie” (now I’ve dated myself…look it up).
You’re welcome to compare yourself with all the cool kids in your group, but why would you do that?
Stay focused on being the best you.
I’ve got to believe the Bible is right: Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before unknown men (Proverbs 22:29, NKJV)
- Forget being cool, accepted and a part of whatever the “in” group is in your little neck of the woods. Instead, the ONE THING for today is: Excel at being the best “you” you can be (I bet you’ll be good at that…maybe even a little cool.)
