Ironically you will never learn how to be an optimist if everything always goes your way.
Faith is impossible in heaven; it only works on this sin-cursed planet which is so full of uncertainty and lack.
Good health means nothing to you if you’ve never been sick and prosperity can go unrecognized and unappreciated until you have lost it.
I could go on, but you get the picture…
- The ONE THING for today: It’s all good—even the bad stuff, if you allow it to teach you something.
A satisfied soul loathes the honeycomb, but to a hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.

Yes Jamie, I will continue to blog; believe or not, I truly enjoy writing. Its the old case of the teacher learning more than the student; the habit of working through my ideas and meditations in order to write about them helps me clarify them. (I suspect you are finding this to be true as well; I am very proud of you and your commitment to blog, please keep it up.)
