In the oft quoted words of Job, “Naked you came into this world and naked you shall leave it.”
However, what you wear in between those two events has a huge impact—both now and when you leave.
And when I speak of what you wear, I am not just talking about clothes (through, I think it is safe to speak for all of us—we do indeed thank you for wearing them 🙂 ).
What you put on each day is a choice.
There are some people who just do what comes naturally (talk about awkward!); the way they dress and conduct themselves is like a walking billboard that shouts out how they feel.
However, there are others who, no matter how they feel, get up each day and put their best foot forward. They’re called mature adults.
You be in the last group.
Whether you feel like it or not; put on daily your daily best.
- The ONE THING for today: Doing what comes naturally can really be an ugly sight. Best to put on something for the occasion; and while you’re at it, put your best foot forward.
12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
