Your headache feels great to pharmacists.
But does it matter?
The temptation, when you are going through painful or embarrassing situations, is to focus on the people that may be benefiting from or taking perverse pleasure in your pain and embarrassment.
Forget them. Stay focused on solving the reason for your pain. Use your current embarrassing situation as an opportunity for growth and improvement.
There will always be people on the sidelines seeking how they can benefit from your tough times. Forget them; stay focused on where you’re going and the prize ahead. The pain and embarrassment of the moment is just a part of the process.
- The ONE THING for today: Stay focused on running your race well, not the people on the sideline.
Matthew 27:29 (NKJV)
29 When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
Hebrews 12:1-2 (NKJV)
…and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus…who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
