The ONE THING for today

When people get hurt

  • Proverbs 1:12-16 (NKJV)) Let us swallow them alive like Sheol, and whole, like those who go down to the Pit; 13 We shall find all kinds of precious possessions, we shall fill our houses with spoil; 14 Cast in your lot among us, let us all have one purse”— 15 My son, do not walk in the way with them, keep your foot from their path; 16 For their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed blood.

Please believe me, without fail, when you sin someone gets hurt. Sin always wounds, mains, and robs. Sin always leaves scars, always leaves victims, and always breeds regrets.

Think twice before going against God’s word and will. Our Creator knows what is best; trust Him, not those that would entice you to stray from his word.

I suspect one of the reasons God will have to wipe the tears from our eyes will be because in at the final judgment we will finally see all of the pain and sorrow we caused because we failed to obey God.

Bottom line, the less forgiveness we need the better.

  • The ONE THING for today: Forgiveness is great, but the less you need forgiveness the less damage will have been done.

  1. Thank you Pastor Kemp for your blog today. However, my need to forgive and be forgiven is working overtime these days. I am on my face in regards to a rebellious 50 year old angry son who is blaming my •religion” for all his sorrows. He is an alcoholic and is quite angry with me for not lavishing him with money everytime he whimpers, so right now I go from anger to forgiveness trying hard not to sin against God in this trial. Please pray for his deliverance and for this widow’s sanity. And PLEASE, get well soon–we need your wisdom. I still pray daily for you even as I am being persecuted. Help us Lord Jesus. I know You will cause us all to overcome as we cling to You and trust in the Power of Your precious blood to bring complete healing to us, and mighty deliverance to our unsaved loved ones. I stand on Isaiah 49:25 and thank You for Your promises in that You are so faithful. What would we do without You Lord but fail. Thank You for being our abundant Life.
