- Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV) Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
In my devotions this morning the following illustration from a sermon by Charles Spurgeon ministered to me, I thought I’d share it with you:
You know, perhaps, the good old story which is told of the woman on ship-board who was greatly afraid in a storm, but she saw her husband perfectly at peace, and she could not understand it. Her husband said he would tell her the reason, so snatching up a sword; he pointed it at her heart. She looked at it, but did not tremble. “Well,” said he, “are you not afraid? The sword is sharp and I could kill you in a moment/” “No,” said she, “because it is in your hands!”
“Ah!” he replied, “and that is why I am not afraid, because the storm is in my Father’s hands, and he loves me better than I love you.”
_Charles H. Spurgeon, Classic Sermons on Overcoming Fear, p. 20

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Beautiful illustration. Our Father does love us more than any earthly being in our life, regardless of the relationship. Praise the Lord for His everlasting, all-powerful, ever-present love abounding right now!!!!

Thank you, Pastor Kemp, for this morning’s devotional. God spoke to my heart, “Billie, ALS is in my hand. The cross was in my hand. Healing is in my hand. Fear not. Rest in me. Trust me.”

WE consider you our pastor now. Even though I don’t get in large crowds because I have a Psuedo Bulbar Affect whenever I do and that leaves very weak. The spirit is willing but the flesh is so weak. Your daily postings are inspiring my soul. The church people at FMCOG are so loving to new people. They reflect the love of Jesus.
