You may have heard the story of the Quaker who came to visit John Bunyan the famed author of Pilgrim’s Progress and who spend many years in prison for preaching the Gospel.
The Quaker arrived and declared, ‘Friend, the Lord sent me to thee, and I have been seeking thee in half the prisons in England.’ ‘Nay, verily, said John, ‘that cannot be, for if the Lord sent thee to me, thou would’st have come here at once. He knows I have been here for these years.’
I mention this story today to remind you that God knows exactly where you are. The going may be tough and not all you desire, but rest assured God is with you and also be certain that better days are ahead.
