- Nehemiah 4:14 (NKJV) And I looked, and arose and said to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.”
There are probably many people who like your family and wish them well. There are even some that love your family and are considered close friends. But remember, there are few if any that are “fighting” for your family—they have their own families, interests, and issues.
Remember that when you are deciding what to do with your days. There will be many people pressing you about things that are important to them. They will be fighting for a piece of your time and energy. They will be giving you many places you could go, many things you could do, and many needs you could fill. However, remember the silent and invisible people who are present as you make those choices—your family.
Remember, nobody else is taking them into consideration. No one else is factoring in their needs, desires and hopes. Remember, no one is fighting for your family—that’s your job.
