Your Opinion Matters…

  1 Kings 18:21 (NKJV)  And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word.

Please do not be held hostage to opinions.

There is wisdom in seeking out advice, polling the group, and seeking consensus.  However, there comes a time when your opinion is the only one that matters.

There will be moments when you look around and there is no one else who is truly qualified to make the decision at hand.

There are areas of responsibility that required you to take a stand.

There are or will be life and death / do or die situations that will require you to land on one side of the issue – and one side only.

Wisdom is knowing when you are facing one of those do or die moments and courage is making the decision and staying with it no matter what other people’s opinion may be.

While rare, those “do or die” moments are moments of destiny that will set or change the direction of your life.  Don’t blow it – God will have prepared you; have the courage to take a stand and stay with your decision.
