- Proverbs 22:1 (NASB) A good name is to be more desired than great wealth, favor is better than silver and gold.
I read the other day about scales that are so delicate that when two pieces of paper hold the scales in perfect equipoise, the writing of your name upon one will instantly tip the beam and bear it down.
I wonder how many times our name has tipped the scales in our favor or against us.
At the end of the day, all we have is our name. It is the equity that opens doors or the liability that closes them.
It is a good thing to know that the value of our name can change…
Oh God, please help us to increase the value of our name by following your commands, keeping our word and investing in improving ourselves.
