Prayer for the day…

120501 (Tuesday): Oh Gracious Father of us all: I greet Thee this day with great joy and thanksgiving.  You are so faithful and true, extending mercy to the just and the unjust, enduring our sin and selfishness and choosing rather to view us through the lens of Calvary.  I cry “THANK YOU” with all my heart.

  • I pray this day for wisdom.  Please help us to represent YOU and your interest well and to conduct ourselves according to the principles of the Kingdom and not the world.  Guide us and help us to serve your cause in the world today.
  • I also pray for traveling mercy – protect us on the highways and bring us back home safe.
  • I lift up all my family, church family and friends who are suffering today.  Please bring comfort and healing to them.  In their pain remind them of your promise and in their suffering show them the way of salvation.
  • And above all, whether in pain or prosperity may we be found faithful, showing that we trust you to work all things together for our good.
  • I rest in you, dear Father…Amen and thank you.

  1. Pastor . . . The prayers truly bring peace to my afternoons especially here at work. It’s important to me that you know I read them and take them to heart and I sincerely appreciate you blogging them. God Bless You & your family and watch over each of you and bring each of you peace, protection, good health, comfort, and joy.

    1. Thank you Lisa. I hesitated to post my prayers but one of the aspects of my calling to be the pastor of the FMCOG is to pray for the dear people I serve. The afternoon prayer is a public commitment to let you know that I truly do take that privelege and responsibility seriously. Be strong in the Lord and be at peace. Blessings, your pastor
