Prayer for the day…

120428 (Saturday): Almighty God – Creator and Father of us all – thank you so much for your keeping power this week.  You have been faithful even when we have failed.  You have provided even when we withheld our hand.  You have been graciously merciful even when we were judgmental.  I stand amazed at your enduring faithfulness and bow my head in gratitude.  THANK YOU!

  • For this day I pray for rest and peace for your people.  Remind them of your great gift to us – the Sabbath – and prompt them to push away the allure and pull of the world for a short season this weekend and gaze over into the Kingdom and be reminded that they are not of this world but rather on assignment here for a season and then they get to go Home (oh, the joy of that word!).
  • Forgive us of our sins, empower us to live victorious over our sins, and anoint us that we may faithfully fulfill your purpose in our lives.
  • Help our pastors and teachers and worship leaders as they prepare their hearts and messages for us tomorrow and help us to prepare ourselves to serve you and hear from you at your House come Sunday.
  • I ask these things in the wonderful name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and by the ever-present help of the dearly loved Holy Spirit.  AMEN and thank you.

  1. Thank you for your prayer, Pastor. It has been mine, also, this week. I am healing from a pulled muscle in my back and God has been so faithful, merciful and He has kept me. I am so thankful and humbled to know Him. I pray for God to speak through you with a powerful anointing tomorrow.
