My daily advice for those that are suffering…

Hello!  I pray you’re having a good day but I bet you’re suffering a bit also…that is if you love somebody.  Let me explain…

Right now in my prayer time I am using I Corinthians 13 (The Love Chapter) as one of my prayer guides.  Today I reflected on the fact that love is “long-suffering” (I Corinthians 13:4)

The world’s best mother-in-law and her great grandson

I was reminded that love takes the long view.  If you’re into the quick fix / instance gratification mode then love is probably not involved.  Perhaps you’re dealing with some difficult situations and difficult people today that is causing you to suffer.  Let me encourage you to endure.  Take the long view.  Don’t panic and say or do things that you will later regret.  Remember real love is willing to suffer through some tough times in order to get to better days.  And better days are ahead because “love never fails” (I Corinthians 13:8)

Patiently,

  1. Thank you so much for that reminder. I am now faced with Elizabeth living with me, now my health has consistantly gotten worse and I have Health Care Power for my 2nd cousin once removed and his wife because their health and minds are not well and I am dealing with them. They are 71 and 72. Please pray for Raymond and Betty Poore
    as well as me also.

I still miss you and Sonja as well as your family.

    1. Terry, I suspect that if someone looked up “full plate” in the dictionary they would find your picture! I pray that God gives you the strength and resources that you need. I know you are a special blessing to the people in your life. _dlk

  2. Timely word for Team Taylor. I’m grateful and awed that God loved our family enough to provide a Shepherd (you) to confirm his word to us.
