100619: Affirmations to Live By – “How I Will Face Each Day” (#2)

 1) How I will face each day: I will live a life of thanksgiving by remembering and enumerating the many blessings from God upon my life.

 2) How I will face each day: I will remember that the only difference between those who have failed and those who have succeeded lies in the difference of their habitsGood habits are the key to all success.  Bad habits are the unlocked door to failure.  Therefore, I will form good habits and become their slave.

  •  I have learned that habits must continually be reevaluated, reformed and renewed.  Entropy is quick to take over!  So the first habit that must be embraced is the habit of keeping our habits current and correct.
  • Knowing what good habits to develop is a lifelong process but it begins with a Holy Discontent that says, “I will change.”  Far to many people allow themselves to become victims allow circumstances and other people to press in on them and limit their ability to succeed.  Others are just to passive, drifting along letting life just happen.
  • Tonight I encourage you to examine your life regularly.  Watch people who you respect, read, pray and reflect.  Choose to believe that God has better things for you and choose to seek out the next habit that will move you forward.

  • Bottom line, believe in yourself – God does!

As far as today, it has been a good day.  I spent the morning and early afternoon in study (tomorrow is going to be a great day!), then got my exercise routine in \ I even got in a lap outside with my grand dog, Chase \ I could get attached to that dog if I don’t watch it!

For Sonja and myself the afternoon included a visited to the Bell home and then attending and participating in the 50th Anniversary celebration for Joe and Ann Ippolito.  What dear, dear people.  I can think of no couple that I love and honor more than these two / they are a wonderful example to us all / I congratulate them and wish them many more years together.

Well, time to wrap things up / no ice cream tonight / I ate wedding cake at the 50th tonight (It was worth it!)

Good evening to all,

dlk

  •  (A goal for my life and my church) “They all noticed something about Christ’s work that day that men fail to see about Christianity now: “All that he does, he does well.”  The church is still known for its charity, but not for its competence.  It is time we returned to our Teacher for that next lesson, so that we may become known not simply as those who go about doing good, but as those who do it well.” David A.
