100531 Memorial Day

Routine is great!  After the last few hectic, travel-full weeks of my life, I have been basking in the simple routine of life.  Today was no exception.  I puttered around the house all day, working on sermons, making a few calls and simply “laying low.”  Its been a good day topped off by having the children over for a wonderful meal prepared in “Sonja’s kitchen” / the tradition Memorial Day meal of hamburgers and hotdogs.  Plus Sonja threw in a new recipe for strawberry pudding (outstanding!).  I reminded the family and I remind you that this wonderful day with all its “routine” is not free / it is being purchased daily by the tremendous sacrifice of our brave men and women around the world.  For three+ centuries the United States of America has been safeguarded by these heroes.  Hats off to them all and God bless America.
