Hello everyone!
Well today I had to do one of my least favorite things…you guessed it \ I went to the dentist for my six-month teeth cleaning. It’s not that my dentist and the hygienist are not friendly and competent \ it’s just that I have this thing about being leaned back on my head with someone poking and scraping around inside my mouth! But it was all for my own good.
As you know, if you’re following my daily devotional, I’ve been walking us through the book of Job (sort of like going to the dentist). I wonder if one of the reasons God puts us through tough times sometimes is to clean us up. I know there’s nothing that clears the mind more than a whopping blow to the thumb with a hammer \ I have no trouble focusing when that happens! When things are going good we sometimes get lazy and unfocused \ perhaps tests and trials are God’s way of getting our attention. Oh well, I know that was the last thing you wanted to think about today \ but hey, what do you expect from a man that’s been to the dentist!
Let’s go brush our teeth… and try to forget about it!

Hang in there son! Now that you’re a dad you can start counting the days until you get to be an embrassment to your son. 🙂 Lord knows you should have enough pictures!
