Good morning everyone!
A couple of things to remember as you start a new week:
- God is more interested in you doing things with Him than for Him
- God is more interested in you going at His pace than how fast you’re going
So as you get out there in the fast lane today remember to P-A-C-E yourself
- (P)ray – don’t just regulate prayer to a formal event, make it a running dialogue with God
- (A)rrest – the negative in your life. Don’t allow people to dump their negativity on you \ God’s in control, things are going to work out, you have every reason to be optimistic today
- (C)onfess – God’s sufficiency \ if the resources are not available just yet, trust God’s pace, they’re be there in God’s good time
- (E)stablish – God’s supremacy \ whatever you do, do not get so caught up in the fast lane that God stops being enough. It’s easy to get our eyes on other things that we think we just have to have and in our pursuit of them we drift away from God \ remember, GOD IS ENOUGH!
Recently I was speaking with the General Overseer of the Church of God, Raymond Culpepper. He is obviously a very busy man. He was sharing how he kept his sanity in the hectic pace of life. He said that he would take moments when he would get away from the phone, emails, appointments and all the other “stuff” and open his Bible and just look out the window and listen for God’s voice. It was those moments when he slowed down and adjusted the pace of his life that kept him sane in a fast-paced world. You and I need our version of “looking out the window.” I don’t know what it will be for you but please find it.
Shout outs…
- Kudos to all you “PEPpers” for yesterday – we had a great day. I’m so thankful that you came, your worship and participation in the services blessed the heart of God and your grateful pastor
- During Sunday School I had a chance to get in some of the classes, it always amazes me how dedicated our Christian Education team is \ thanks to all of you for your dedication
- And Larry Jackson – another birthday! Larry, you’d better hold on to that birthday dollar, it’s not everyday you get money from a preacher! 🙂

Well, I guess it’s time to run (at God’s pace) \ love you all…

Hello Pastor Kemp,
Thank you for the Word you shared Sunday. Can’t count the number of times I thought about the wheel within the wheel yesterday. Life is so “full” right now with two in college and one in high school, so I often feel like I’m spinning way too fast. Kind of like the old fair ride where you stood up and the cage spun around and even tilted this way and that. Can’t remember the name, but it sure did spin. Anyway, me being that inner wheel is once again attempting to be still before Him who is all powerful, knowing, and active in my life (the most comforting thought).
Love FMCOG and all those who are committed to this body.
Have a blessed day.

Hello Ginger!
Great to hear from you and I’m so thankful to learn that Sunday’s service and message ministered to you. You do have a full plate…it doesn’t take a lot of imagination to see how it could be a little overwhelming \ but hang in there \ you’re made of tough stuff…you’re God’s daughter (a regular chip off the ole block! 🙂
I wish you “God’s rest” tonight and new strength for a new day.
Blessings,
