“I didn’t mind backing candidates who were almost certain to lose when we were fighting for civil rights or against the war. But sooner or later, you have to win if you want to change things.”
— My Life by Bill Clinton
Each day it starts all over; You have to get out of bed. As Jordan Peterson put it in his Rule #1 for life: you have to “generate production.”
You have to gathered the scrambled pieces of your life – the aches and pains, the problems and challenges, and the tools and resources that you have available (meager as they may be) and you must get up and get at it.
You must make something of the day. (You must make something of your life!) You must make a contribution: do some good, add some value, keep your word, earn your paycheck, honor your vows, make the world a little better for yourself (of course), but mostly for those you love and serve. (If there’s no one in your life worth getting out of bed for every day, that’s your first problem.)
Making this happen will seldom be easy. It will not handed to you on a silver platter, you’ll have to get out of bed on your own and do it all over again…every day.
It’s call life.
Deal with it and get something good done today.
The ONE THING for today: Get out of bed, rinse and repeat.
