Do you know the trouble with the most obvious choice?
The trouble is that it’s so obvious.
If the goal is to be average, predictable, and safe…
If you’re happy with being a part of the crowd, a cog in the wheel, just another number, then go for the obvious.
It will surprise no one and make as few people as possible upset.
And by the way, sometimes the best choice is the obvious choice. Don’t waste time on being extraordinary at something that is not important.
But if your sights are set on more than that. If your ambitions, and dreams, and desires and hopes, and plans are bigger than the obvious and the average, then you’re going to have to take a different route.
Now this will not be easy. It will require you to:
- Be creative
- Be different
- Be willing to try new things
- Break new ground
- Leave the crowd
- Work harder than others
- Ask questions
- Offer different solutions
- Fail until you succeed
As I said, this will not be easy, but then, that should be obvious.
The ONE THING for today: Survival is usually about doing the obvious, and sometimes that is the wisest thing to do. But breakthrough progress and advancement will never be discovered and created by doing the obvious.
