Related imageThere is a world of difference between of knowing your mind and having your mind made up.

Whether during a conversation, a meeting, a sermon (or preparing a sermon), etc., be slow to make up your mind.

First impressions and headlines are not always accurate and never fully accurate. Practice humility and listen.

  • The ONE THING for today: A lot of damage has been done by people who thought they knew what they were doing and what they were talking about.  Unless you’ve achieved omniscience and know all things, be very slow to make up your mind. Instead, be willing to listen and learn, and be guided.  Perhaps there’s more to the story than you know and perhaps there are other and even better ways of getting done what needs to be done.
