Genesis 1:2 (NKJV) The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Right at the beginning God made it clear that with every manifestation of His glory there is a gestation period.
Conception, growth, development, progress, success all take time.
Even Jesus lived in obscurity for thirty years before he stepped onto center stage.
Moses was eighty years old before he was ready to lead.
Caleb was eighty before God gave him his mountain.
David was hounded and hunted for over two decades before he received his promotion.
I could go on, but hopefully you get the picture.
- The ONE THING for today: Nothing of “God-value” is going to happen in your life without a gestation period. Don’t rush the process; be patient and trust God—today is a part of the process no matter what happens.

For God is my King from of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.
