The ONE THING for today

If you’re looking for a wife for someone else, you’d better pray

  • Genesis 24:11-12 (NKJV) And he made his camels kneel down outside the city by a well of water at evening time, the time when women go out to draw water. 12 Then he said, “O Lord God of my master Abraham, please give me success this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham.

Whether it’s a wife (for you or someone else) or a major career change or something as routine as deciding what to wear—you’d better pray before you make a decision.

To not pray is to say to God: “I don’t need you.” To pray is to say to God: “I wouldn’t do this without you.”

Now which choice do you think has the best long-term chance of succeeding?

  • The ONE THING for today: Pray about everything.
