Can you hear?

An alarming thought came to me when I read Proverbs 1:5. In this age of information overload it occurred to me that it is becoming more and more difficult to actually hear.

“Googling” something, listening to podcasts, newscasts, and the weather forecast is nice, but nothing beats intentionally seeking out wise men and women and actually listening to them speak.

Google will give you facts; a talking head will give you details; but a wise counselor will give you a part of themselves.
