Most of us are not called to be great explorers. Our obituary will not describe how we headed out into the great unknown going where no man had ever gone before. I suspect that you are like me; I want my obituary to include a list of people, not a list of destinations.
Instead of seeing yourself as an explorer, think tour guide—taking people with you on the journey of life.
Remember, when the trip becomes about getting to the next mile market, the next exit, the next stop on the journey or even on the final destination we have a tendency to forget the people we want to take with us on the journey…and what good is getting somewhere and discovering you’re all alone.
- The ONE THING: Invest more in relationships than you do travel supplies.
