Just answer the question

  • Genesis 3:11, 12 (NKJV) “Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”
  • Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”

Talk about throwing someone under the bus!

Suddenly the bright light is on Adam—caught! Yelp, Adam was caught with his hand in the cookie jar and some of the crumbs were still on his face.

So what did Adam do? He blamed his wife and even God (for giving her to him).

Now what good did that do? Answer: None.

Here’s the ONE THING for today: Stop the blame game. What good is it doing? Answer: None.

Hey, there may be some justification in your blame—people do mislead us, fail us, and hurt us. But the sooner you get beyond the blame game and just answer the question, the sooner you can start working on solutions.

  • Is your marriage going south? Stop the blame game and just say “yes” and then get to work on some positive solutions.
  • Does your job stink? Stop the blame game and just say “yes” and then get to work on some positive solutions.
  • Is your life in shambles?  Stop the blame game and just say “yes” and then get to work on some positive solutions.

Well you get the picture…blaming others just locks you in the prison cell of the past.

Just answer the question and then get moving in the right direction.
