When buying a car (to the banker, the car dealer, the insurance company and to you) the signed contract is more than just a piece of paper.
When your widow and little children sit down with the insurance agent, the signed insurance policy is more than just a piece of paper.
When sitting down with the manufacturer’s rep to discuss the malfunction of an expensive appliance you brought for your home, the signed warranty is more than just a piece of paper.
And again, when you stand before God and the Book of Life is opened it will be more than just a piece of paper (see verse above).
So, why is it that so many people think that a signed marriage license is just a piece of paper?
