Luke 10:39-42 (NKJV)
39 And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. 40 But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”
41 And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. 42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”

One of the biggest challenges that you are going to have today is: Knowing what is unimportant at any given moment and rejecting the temptation to focus on it.
To compound the problem, there are so many options available at any given moment. We fool ourselves into believing that we can multi-task without compromising quality and focus; but the truth is the more our attention is fragmented the more the results of our life will be fragmented.
What to do?
ANSWER: Live in the moment. Ask yourself what the “rent-paying” issue is at the moment and take care of that. Don’t be distracted by the unimportant-no matter how enticing or tempting. Disciple yourself! Resist and stay focused; if you’re right about it being the most important use of your time at the moment; then that is where you’re get your greatest return.
