The Three Requirements of Success (3/3)

  • 1 Samuel 2:3 (NLT) Stop acting so proud and haughty! Don’t speak with such arrogance! For the LORD is a God who knows what you have done; he will judge your actions.

OK, let’s review…

Three basic requirements for success include:

  1. Vision: the ability to see things as the can be, not how they are.
  2. Focus: the relentless, passionate and long-term pursuit of a singular goal (how something could be)
  3. Action: the intentional exertion of resources and energy toward a particular task.

I know, these are so obvious – especially the third; and yet it is amazing to me how many people talk about all the things they are going to do someday but they never get around to it. At the end of the day if you are going to succeed you are going to have to take action; you will have to bring to bear your time, talent and resources in accomplishing something. Until you do that your vision and your focus is nothing but talk (a lot of thunder and lightning perhaps, but no life-giving rain).

So dear friend, what you are waiting on; time to get to it!
