Proverb of the Day

God repeats Himself…

  • Proverbs 14:5 (NKJV)  A faithful witness does not lie, but a false witness will utter lies.

You may not have noticed it, but there is a pattern in how I choose the Proverb of the day.

What I do is match the verse with the day of the month (for example today is the 14th thus I chose verse 14) and I match the chapter with the month (this month is May – the fifth month): thus, today’s verse is Proverbs 14:5.  (Hey, I know it’s crazy, but remember I’m left-handed and we lefties do things differently.)

I put you through that little drill because today’s verse goes along with yesterday’s verse (I didn’t randomly pick it).  Maybe I’m reading too much into this but I’m taking it that God really wants us to get the lesson that a righteous man or woman hates lying.  (See yesterday’s Proverb of the day)

Furthermore, beware of who you allow to speak (witness) into your life; the good ones tell the truth and bad one ones do not.
