I remember a few years ago Sonja and I visited the Greenwood, SC State Park.
When we arrived we almost immediately noticed an eerie sound emanating from the trees. We looked at each other and wondered if we should venture into the woods. Curiosity won the day – we headed in. We soon discovered what the sound was: cicadas.
We later learned that the cicadas that had taken over the Greenwood State Park came out every thirteen years and we had hit it just right to see and hear them in their moment of triumph. The other twelve years they’re around but they lie dormant and unseen.
Life is much like that. Life goes in cycles. Remember, just because no one is not listening to you today – your day will come. Stay faithful, your day’s coming.
