“He’s a happily alone man.”

  • Proverbs 13:4 (NKJV) The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing; but the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.

Another way of stating the principle taught in this proverb is: “Easy come, easy go.”

Anytime you take the easy way in trying to gain what you desire you set yourself up for disappointment.

For example, one of the toughest jobs out there is being a good husband; it takes a lot of diligence.  As a result many men settle for the lazy man’s way: going from one relationship to another.

However, you never hear the expression, “He’s a happily alone man.”  But you do here the expression, “He’s a happily married man.”

Speaking from personal experience, give me the diligent path anytime.
