- John 15:16 (NKJV) You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.
There is a tendency to confuse the “rewards” of success with being successful.
For example, we see someone who has an important position and we think of them in terms of being successful. Or we see someone who is wealthy and we think of them as being successful.
But remember, those are only (at best) rewards for being successful.
True success is being where God wants you to be at this stage of your life and faithfully managing the responsibilities that He has placed upon you.
Any rewards that God may send your way will come when He thinks you are ready; but in the meantime, don’t hold your head down and feel inferior to anyone if you are being faithful where God has planted you.
Matter of fact, you are as successful now as you will ever be.
