How to get your prayers answered…

  • John 14:13-14 (NKJV) And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

Here’s three quick lessons on prayer:

  • FIRST: When you pray in Jesus’ name He will answer.
  • SECOND: Jesus will answer in such a way that the Father will be glorified (honored) by what He does.  In other words, no matter what we ask, Jesus’ first goal is not making us happy but making the Father happy.  The irony of this is – in the long run – we will also be most happy.
  • THIRD: Prayer includes “asking”.  Furthermore, don’t be afraid to ask for anything no matter how outrageous; Jesus will sort it all out.

Verse 4 identifies the pivotal factor: “If” (If you ask…).

Whatever you do this week – Ask!

Ask frequently and ask big.
