Turns out the ancient Egyptians might have been closer to the truth than we think. They believed that their heart (which represented their moral character) was weighed against a feather at the final judgment. If their heart weighed more than a feather they were in trouble. God’s standard is even tougher – perfection! We’d better stay close to Jesus.
