- John 11:41-42 (NLT) Then Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, thank you for hearing me. 42 You always hear me, but I said it out loud for the sake of all these people standing here, so that they will believe you sent me.”
“He who has done his best for his own time has lived for all times.” _V.J. Featherstone
Remember, your participation in 40-days is not just about you. Your family is observing you. By this time, your colleagues at work or your classmates know what you’re up to. Whatever you do, give your best. Demonstrate a life of commitment. Be a good example. Show people what having a passion for Jesus Christ looks like.
Jesus’ prayer at Lazarus’ grave is a great example: He prayed for the benefit of those listening.
That’s one of the most important aspects of 40-days: it is for the benefit of those watching you as much (if not more) than it if for your benefit.
Whatever you do, give you best…finish strong.
