PEPper Update

Hello my dearly loved PEPpers!

I pray that you are having a great week. Personally, I am still rejoicing over this past weekend’s Christmas production. Over 2500 people witnessed this special event. As a result, we have been inundated with calls and reports from people who were deeply touched and blessed by our efforts. Again, “Hats off” to the many volunteers who made it happen; only time and eternity will fully reveal the good that was done. However, we can close that chapter of our Christmas season knowing that Jesus was honored and the Gospel was proclaimed.

Let me give you a little reminder about this Sunday. In addition to a special day of worship that has been planned I want to highlight three important events that will be going on:

  • First, Sunday has been set aside as a day to honor Pastor Robin Mills. As you probably know, Pastor Robin will be concluding her services as our Director of Children’s ministries at the end of this year. Therefore, we want to make this day very special. In addition to what is planned to honor the Mills corporately, you will be given an opportunity to express your love and appreciation in the evening service (more about that in a moment). I mention this to put it in your mind to come prepared to give a thoughtful and meaningful expression this weekend.
  • Second, the Girlfriend’s Ministries has invited the entire church to join with them at the annual Christmas “Soup and Cornbread” dinner. Speaking as a seasoned veteran of this event, you will be glad you came. In addition, we will include a special “Carols & Candlelight” service and also, there will be a special table of honor for the Mills where you can go by and greet them and express your love and appreciation (see above).
  • Finally, let me encourage you to be in church Sunday, if for no other reason, to hear the second in my three-part series for the month of December: “Three Things You Must Know Before 2013”. I believe that you will find yourself falling back on the biblical principles that will be taught in this series throughout 2013. I want next year to be a great year for you, I’d hate for you to miss the essential truths that will be learned by those that hear the word God has for us this month.

As always, I send my love and prayers. I am proud of you and so thankful to be a part of the great FMCOG \\ “I love my church!”

With kindest regards,
david l. kemp
