PEPper Update

Hello Everybody!

Hope you’re off to a great start for your week.  Remember, if you blow it this week the prayer is: “Well God, what are you and me going to do about this.”

Let me give you a quick update on a few things happening in the PEPper family:

  • First, please keep the Eva Little family in your prayers.  As you probably know by now, Sister Eva Little went home to be with the Lord early yesterday morning.  I rejoice for her – no more suffering – but I do grieve for her family and for all of us who will miss her so very much.
  • Sister Little’s funeral will be tomorrow, Tuesday, September 25, at 2:00 p.m. here at the church.  The family will be receiving friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Second, please keep Don Giles in your prayers.  Brother Don is one of our dear church fathers (I always say that Don has the spiritual gift of hugging :)).  He is battling double pneumonia.  I did speak with his wife, Von, earlier and am happy to report that he is much improved today.
  • Third, please keep the process of hiring our next Children’s Ministry Director in your prayers.  We’ve narrowed the field down to a short list and have begun the interviewing process.  I am happy to say that we have some excellent candidates.  I’ll keep you posted.
  • Finally, I’m happy to report that Harold and Ruth Dover are going to be grandparents again thanks to their son Stefan and his sweet wife, Rachel.  Congratulations my fellow grandparents!

Well, I’d better run…but before I do, let me remind you that I love you and count it one of the greatest privileges and joys in all the world to be your pastor.

With warmest regards,

david l. kemp
