Today’s ONE THING: The Most Amazing and Controversial Thing about Christianity

  • Acts 17:3 (NKJV) …explaining and demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus whom I preach to you is the Christ.” 

One of the most amazing and difficult concepts for the ancient world to grasp concerning the Christian message was that in order for salvation to be achieved Jesus had to first suffer and then be resurrected from the dead.  This message was entitled: “The Scandal of the Cross.”

Nothing has changed; we still struggle with this.  However, until we can get past the fact that suffering is a part of the process, we will never get to the really good stuff.
