The fact that the following quotation is one of my favorites is, I suppose, a sign of a twisted mind…
- “I fully realize that I have not succeeded in answering all your questions. Indeed, I feel I have not answered any of them completely. The answers I have found only serve to raise a whole new set of questions, which only lead to more questions, some of which we weren’t ever aware were problems. To sum it all up: In some ways I feel we are as confused as ever, but I do believe we are confused on a higher level, and about more important things.” _Steve Brown, Follow the Wind, p. 110
Have you ever had a conversation like that?
I’ve had conversations like that with God! There have been times (days) that I have struggled in my prayer time with God. We go through seasons when nothing makes sense. What is a man to do? Answer: Keep praying.
Centuries ago when Solomon dedicated the Temple he asked of God to hear from Heaven when the people just looked toward the Temple.
Brothers, today you may feel a thousand miles away from God: confused, confounded and capsized – drowning in a sea of doubt. What to do? Keep praying; just the effort of looking toward God is enough. He’s listening and He will answer. Trust Him.
